Sts’ailes is currently seeking an organized and knowledgeable self-starter to fill the role of Financial Analyst ARC. The ideal candidate will provide departmental financial support services: departmental budgeting support, funder reporting support, financial statement analysis, accounting advice, and system training and support. The Financial Analyst ARC position first performs all financial duties required of Yeqwethet’s Jordan’s Principle ARC program, and next, as their second priority, provides financial support to Sts’ailes’ physical and mental health departments. This position is entrusted with confidential information and must always maintain that confidence in accordance with the operational policies that govern Sts’ailes. The Financial Analyst ARC reports to the Comptroller.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1. Completed or actively pursuing an advanced bookkeeping certificate or designation (CPA, CAFM)

  2. Three (3) years of workplace accounting experience.

  3. Working knowledge of Xyntax accounting software is desirable.

  4. Superior spreadsheet skills.

  5. Proficient word processing skills.

  6. Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clientele and agencies.

  7. Superior organizational and time management skills.

  8. Ability to meet multiple deadlines across numerous departments.

  9. Strong oral and written communication skills.

  10. Willingness to work individually and as part of a team.

  11. A desire to grow within the finance department.

  12. Ability to follow instructions and procedures.


13. Understand Federal and Provincial laws which protect data collections.

  1. Strong work ethic, integrity, self-motivated, resourceful, and punctual.

  2. Ability to be both a team player and work independently with little or no supervision.

  3. Knowledge of and respect for Sts’ailes culture, traditions, and history.

  4. A valid Class 5 driver license.

Wage Range: Based on the Sts’ailes Salary Grid FS2 – FS4
Type of Position: This is a full-time position and is subject to a 3-month probationary period and performance evaluation.
